Pacific Recycling Foundation Welcomes Tanoa Hotel Group as Key Partner for ROG Ambassadors Leadership Forum

The Pacific Recycling Foundation is thrilled to announce the Tanoa Hotel Group as a pivotal partner for the upcoming Recycling on the Go (ROG) Ambassadors Leadership Forum, scheduled to take place at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi, this Friday.

This groundbreaking event will bring together 30 passionate students, known as ROG Ambassadors, from Jai Narayan College, Jasper Williams High School, and Nadi Sangam Primary School.

Alongside these young recycling and environmental advocates, key stakeholders will converge to contribute to the evolution of the ROG strategy, fostering sustainable recycling practices within school environments.

Initiated by PRF in collaboration with Swire Shipping, the ROG Ambassadors Program aims to instill best recycling practices, nurturing a mindset and behaviour conducive to environmental stewardship.

The Permanent Secretary for Education, Ms. Selina Kuruleca, will grace the occasion as the chief guest.

PRF Founder Mr. Amitesh Deo said the forum also provides a platform for students from these schools to share their unique experiences, journeys, and challenges encountered during their advocacy endeavours, fostering peer-to-peer learning and collaboration.

“What sets this forum apart is the participation of personalities from the sports arena, who will undergo comprehensive training by the PRF team to become advocates for recycling. Their presence underscores the diverse avenues through which recycling awareness can be elevated, transcending traditional boundaries,” said Mr. Deo.

During the formal signing of the partnership agreement, Mr. Deo expressed gratitude to the Tanoa Hotel Group for their commitment to the recycling movement, acknowledging them as invaluable allies in charting the course for the program’s future.

Mr. Deo also extended appreciation to Swire Shipping for their unwavering support and collaboration.

Mr. Narend Kumar, Area General Manager of Tanoa Hotel Group, conveyed his enthusiasm for partnering with PRF.

“We are thrilled to join hands with the PRF and Swire Shipping for this pivotal step towards crafting a blueprint for recycling awareness through the ROG program. Together, we aspire to create a sustainable legacy for future generations. Our commitment extends beyond hospitality to advocating responsible practices,” said Mr. Kumar.
