Contribute towards PRF’s programs designed to create awareness on recycling & provide structured support to Collection Pillars of Recycling.

Your contribution will allow PRF to expand its recycling programs and projects within Fiji in terms of outreach programs to remote areas, outer-islands and maritime areas who are most susceptible to the harmful effects of irresponsible disposal of recyclables, especially plastic.

Communities from as far as the interiors of Naitasiri, Taveuni, Lau and the Yasawa Group have contacted us seeking assistance in implementing recycling programs.

These communities have recognised that the food chain supply have been impacted because of improper waste management.

Your contribution will also go towards developing new and continuing existing empowerment programs and support for the Collection Pillars of Recycling (formerly known as informal waste pickers).

The CPRs collect recyclables as their main source of income and most of these individuals’ collect recyclables from public places or from dumpsites, where they must endure difficult, often dangerous, conditions with little to no protective equipment.

Waste pickers often come from some of the most economically vulnerable communities and also face challenges in accessing basic healthcare.
