Nestlé Fiji Reaffirms Partnership with PRF for Global Recycling Day 2026, Strengthening Commitment to Sustainable Solutions
Pacific Recycling Foundation is pleased to announce that Nestlé Fiji has once again recommitted its partnership for Global Recycling Day 2026, marking three consecutive years of collaboration.
Global Recycling Day 2026 will be held in Suva on 18 March, bringing together leaders from government, industry, academia, development partners, and grassroots advocates to advance practical solutions that respond to Fiji’s growing waste management challenges.
The continued partnership between PRF and Nestlé Fiji underscores the importance of private sector leadership to support national conversations on proper waste management while working towards innovative solutions for proper waste management.
PRF Founder, Amitesh Deo, commended Nestlé for becoming one of the first industry partners to actively support grassroots recycling organisations through Global Recycling Day.
“Nestlé Fiji’s continued partnership demonstrates the importance of collaborative leadership in tackling complex waste challenges. Long-term corporate engagement is essential in driving innovation, creating scalable solutions, and providing support to the PRF’s broader vision of empowering communities while building a more inclusive recycling ecosystem,” said Deo.
Nestlé Fiji General Manager, Tim Inkster, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to working collaboratively toward sustainable outcomes.
“At Nestlé our vision is that none of our packaging, including plastics, ends up in landfill or as litter. We understand how valuable collaborations like this are to achieving that goal. Sponsoring Global Recycling Day with PRF is a key opportunity to bring awareness to the progress made and the work remaining to advance recycling and recycling systems across the Pacific Islands,” said Inkster.
